This bread is so great! I made it a month ago and I'm making more tonight! We have a surplus of chocolate chips though so I'm adding some of those!

I'm dying to try this......and I am the "mom" person, I still own those measuring spoons (mine are orange) and the Pyrex cup. I hope my daughter, who is a fabulous cook, and hooked me up with tastespotting, has the same memories that you do!

Thank you for having this to find. I was looking for coconut pecan bread that my Mom used to make and this seems close.
I don't want to use the banana in it cause the original did'nt have it and I don't like bananas, but what else to take the place of them? More coconut, more flour, more pecans?? When my Mom's was done, she would make simple syrup and poke holes in the bread and pour the warm syrup over. That made it a little cruchy - ooohh so good!

Oh My Goodness the memories!!!!
All of the best holiday memories are in the kitchen!!!
Learning , sharing, laughing and lying.
“No I did not steal the last cherry…”
“I saw you take that bite of crispy turkey skin”
God I miss sharing a kitchen with my mom and sister.
