I did alter it a little and grate rather than dice the apple, plus add a little extra fruit since I was working with itty bitty organic apples. I'm so happy to have stumbled across a food blogger in the district, too! I've lived in Columbia Heights for five years but never managed to find any neighbors with a knack for cooking and writing.
